While the clock hasn't changed since the last entry the circumstances have. Spring is on the horizon which means more trouble in Afghanistan. Not surprisingly Iran is heating up as well. The real story, however, is the economy. Positive numbers persist despite the longest government shutdown in history, a slowing European economy, the collapsing Venezeulan economy, and a ballooning national debt. Soon a national emergency will be declared so that money can be shifted from executive agencies or the military to build a wall along the southern border. Unfortunately the signs are trending towards a catastrophic collapse. It's difficult to predict when, but things will be good until then - JUST LIKE 2008!
