I'm driving a truck mounted Mobile B47 in an open field with the mast up .... it's mid-november overcast early morning and I'm talking with my new helper when all the sudden I see a flash .... thankfully I was only going at a slow walking pace and I stopped quickly got out and saw the mast was just touching a power line ; with no other sparks or flashes I quickly backed up and started drilling again .... at lunch time we went to a local Subway where the talk of the town was the power outage earlier that morning ; everyone asking how long their electricity was out .... definitely a good example of something not to do even when you're in the middle of nowhere Texas ; a town of 400 ; random power lines crossing random fields
