Six days ago Marie, myself, and a family friend rode out a TORNADO. It was nothing like expected - I couldn't hear anything until it was on top of us. Prior to the tornado arrival I stood at the front door to ascertain what path it would take ... nothing ... no sight, no sound, no nothing with the electricity gone, a dark sky, and no lightning on the front side of the storm. We were inside the middle bathroom roughly three minutes before the storm hit. We were exceptionally lucky. The center of circulation was 500 feet away. I estimate that the F3 tornado was 1500ft wide. No injuries in the neighborhood :-)
