Russia invaded Ukraine on the 24th of February and set the apocalypse clock on a quick pace. Like the coronavirus this sudden event caused me to shift gears. Previously I had been attempting to complete my book on global warming: "Climate Changed (past tense) ...". Now I've gone into full PREPPER mode. It's been right at 30 years since the world stood this close to total war. Back in 1990 the first Gulf War seemed exceptionally fraught at the outset. The Iraqis had the fourth largest army in the world and designs to control the world's oil. By comparison that war was child's play compared to tangling with the world's largest NUCLEAR ARSENAL!! Not to mention a major oil supplier.

Now three months have passed and we DO NOT sit at the brink of NUCLEAR WAR. Instead we're all taking swings at the underpinning of global economics and who knows which hammer will lead to ultimate destruction. So regardless of the method, madness knows no bounds and the pawns are caught in the crossfire. Meanwhile time is zipping by ... a blurr .... A maddening blurr.

(ADDENDUM 07-27-22 ... now as this war has turned into a bloody grind we all have had TIME to think - by all accounts the people in Ukraine are attempting to adapt, but an end must come - winter is not far off and may be a turning point)
