This movie is fast paced and exceptionally smart. Not merely storytelling, I believe Hemingway created literary art. Just as a painter uses canvas and oil Hemingway uses words to "paint" the loss of innocence. But this is the "big screen".

Visually stunning and in some ways timeless. The filmmaker builds romance to erotic fantasy. Ultimately the picture comes into full view when the leading lady (Mena Suvari - "American Beauty") aptly reminds her newlywed husband, "We can do whatever we want". Such are the privileges of the rich, but also the source of downfall.
