A colonial fishing magnate, Barnabas Collins (Depp), transforms into a vampire -- not by "conventional means", but through the curse of an attractive witch (Green). Now fast forward to 1972 Barnabas gets his first taste of blood after 200 years of confinement. Now a man out of time Barnabas seeks to reconnect with his home and the descendents who still inhabit the old mansion.

excellent story, acting, & cinematography. Not constant laughs, but a strong storyline that leads to some good laughs. Michelle Pfeiffer & Helen Bonham Carter add comedic starpower to the up & coming Eva Green.
