We are two and a half months into the COVID-19 (Wuhan Coronavirus) outbreak and the news has started to turn. A rash of new cases in Italy, South Korea, and Iran. Last week the stock market lost 13% in response to the news. Tomorrow it may lose that much in a single day. It's easy to assume these early reports mark the beginning of something unknown. As the virus spreads the news will take center stage. Right now the spread appears to be a "slow burn", but that could change at any time. A faster burn would not only put the disease in center stage, it will dominate the airway with all the craziness that surrounds it.

Remember when this news broke; China put an entire megacity on lock down. No one was allowed in or out of the city. There's no way that could happen here. Authorities in the United States could not lock down a city like Houston, Texas or Los Angeles for weeks on end. The rich would fly out. The destitute would hike out and the remainder would run through blockades like football players through a paper banner.

The ensuing chaos would escalate until martial law was declared throughout the country. For a true apocalypse this chaos would have to spread globally and as noted in my Feb. 27th blog post, the irrational craziness would cause more damage than the virus itself. Therefore another minute has been added to the clock .... news of COVID-19 did not happen in isolation. We are now six months into an upward moving clock thanks to the economic policies of President Trump and the assassination of a top Iranian general. This upward march has reached into the ELEVENTH HOUR with the COVID-19 outbreak ... Complete your tool shopping. BE PREPARED!

(addendum 06-30-21: If the virus had started in the free world instead of China the numerous lockdowns probably would not have ordered ... on the other hand, free market capitalism is revealing weakness on protecting people at the bottom of the economic ladder ... the Communist style lockdowns only protect rich people)
