* _ personal news - WORK IS SLOW and has been for 2 months. It's cutting into my savings. I'm taking steps to try and weather the slow down before it becomes worse.

Spring planting season has begun. I started landscaping the front yard. This is likely to bring some satisfaction to an otherwise dull spring.

* _ emotional news - I can't focus on finishing my book on GLOBAL WARMING due to slow work and the virus outbreak. More disturbing, our sweet cat Mindy died just after the New Year as did Ronald Gill. We will be making some plans to spread his and his dads ashes.

Marie insists upon playing super mom even at risk to her compromised immune system. We both caught the 48hr virus from the baby. Thankfully he is feeling much better. This is either a prelude of what's to come or a benefit to help block COVID-19.

* _ WORLD NEWS - the Wuhan coronavirus - COVID-19 is spreading across the world and across the U.S.; even though the risk is very low it still has the potential to create a global apocalypse ... hence my renewed work on "THE ADVANCED PREPPER'S GUIDE TO THE APOCALYPSE" ; in other news, the 2020 presidential primary now has J.Biden in the lead overtaking B.Sanders. Many have dropped out the race.

* _ "TV viewing" - The past two weekends have proven the worth of our new SMART TVs. Marie & I binge watched the final season of "Cougar Town". The purchase price of the series, "Ripper Street", has been too high for our budget. Since Marie has been paying for the girls Netflicks we took advantage of it. We also just finished the first season of "Dead Like Me" & "The New Girl".
