[theme]_ USAFA / ULTRALITE FLIGHT

1. (indeterminate age) I'm walking around the DORM. I can see the quad in the center. A number of people are rambling about due to an overflowing sewer system. I pour some water down a tube to test the system. Watching the results I know I can fix it. As I walk around I see that the other areas were much nicer than were I was assigned _ [ AWAKE - alarm ] 2. (semi-connected) I'm walking outside of a FOOTBALL stadium after a game just finished. I see TAMI WILSON and say hi.

(non-fluid shift) It's the weekend or spring break and I have the opportunity to FLY my ULTRALITE. As I takeoff and start flying I'm in a canyon and have to fly thru some tall high voltage POWERLINEs. I'm seated facing BACKWARDS trying to navigate through powerlines. As I turn around I see a old west resort area. It's on the edge of an ARID LANDSCAPE; tan, lt. brown, muted green. The resort signs were colorful. As I fly by I see TAMI's blonde hair. She is sitting there waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. She had been there for hours.

I land and go up to meet her. As we sit there talking a group of actors start setting up for a play. Tami's boyfriend seems to have stood her up so I make a move. She was not interested. Some time later her boyfriend shows up. He had been with another girl.

COMMENT (on dream content & IRL connection) I have not had a dream with POWERLINEs for some time. As many of these dreams as I have had I have few clues towards their significance. Obviously they are some kind of obstacles to be overcome. It would be very interesting to see other PILOTs have this dream abstraction. Also, if you remember from a previous comment, I had a FORCED LANDING on my first ultra-lite flight where I just cleared the POWERLINEs.

As usual, I'm flying below looking for a gap. Many times it's an urban setting, but this one highly unusual. I have been seeing more ARID landscapes lately even though the "rainy" season has started.

COMMENT (on dream content connected to my life) Friday the drillers were talking about a recent areana football game. It was played at the Ranger baseball stadium close to where we were working that day.
