The clock has been taken down nearly an hour since all routes to the apocalypse have cooled. The economy has shown great resilience despite a vast underlying weakness. Any future COVID-19 related lock downs will be tempered by past experience although many more businesses with weak balance sheets will likely go under. Consequently the economy is the most likely route to the apocalypse however slow that may occur.

For some time, however, the election has been the major concern. Although slow in concluding, no violence occured and no major protests. Still there's some apprehension towards the presidential transition and the prospect of foreign intervention causing harm, but that remains an extreme probability. Consequently the clock will keep moving down in the near future.
