With a light at the end of the covid-19 tunnel, people in the United States are trending back to business as usual. Unfortunately there are Covid hotspots in Brazil, India, and more. While vaccine rollouts are picking up many poorer countries are having difficulty obtaining supplies. Even worse, however, unconfirmed reports from Brazil place the effectiveness of vaccines produced in China at 50%.

Now factor in the American southwest migrant crisis. Europe's renewed migrant influx through Turkey and Greece. Further east, the Russians have a troop buildup on the Ukraine border. All the way east, China makes a show of force in Taiwan. Finally, the Iranians are adding new nuclear capability in retaliation for an attack on one of their facilities.

Given all this trouble you would think the clock would be moving forward, but given a far more capable leadership in Washington the clock is moving down 30 minutes.
