While another great gasoline scare (SE USA) subsides, fighting in Gaza intensifies. Clearly it would be easy to predict a quick end to the violence given the history of major flare ups between Israel and the Palestinians (2014, 2012, 2008). But given the crisis in Middle-East leadership and the inequities of Covid-19 this time could be different ... could be ... that's why the clock is only being moved 5 minutes ahead. Unfortunately a quick end to the hostilities won't bring the clock down again. Because, as stated, there's a crisis of leadership .... in Israel, Palestine, Iran, Iraq, and far off Afghanistan. One could even argue there's a still a leadership crisis in the United States given the recent ouster of Liz Cheney by the Republicans.
