With the crazy covid economy edging towards rearview mirror, a new specter has arisen .... INFLATION .... Prices are on the rise and appear to have "staying power". It's a concern for all, but APOCALYPTIC?! At the start of summer the Fed repeatedly assured the nation that the inflation was "transitory". "Normal" consumer prices would return as the ECONOMY recovered from covid induced trouble. Unfortunately there's way more going on with the economic disruption than meets the eye and we are extremely lucky to have gotten off this easy.

INFLATION, on the other hand, will likely prove a more difficult problem since everyone has been lulled into a false sense of security. This kind of "inflation" hasn't been seen in close to 40 years. People under retirement age may remember the "tepid" inflation of the late 90s and early 2000s. It was nearly as random as the "sector" recessions. Then ... there was the worry of DEFLATION during tbe Great Recession. The exact opposite of inflation. That means inflationary pressure is unknown to half or more of the U.S. population.

To make matter worse, politicians lack conviction. They are slaves to the party line or their corporate donors. Basically greed in one form or another. Either way it rarely makes for good policy choices. Many don't have to be fans of former President Trump to love the tax breaks he enacted. That money has certainly helped the rich get richer. And let's not forget the crazy Covid stock market!

Right now a vast sum of money is sloshing around in the system from the tax cuts, the stock market run up, and the covid relief fund. More than 3 trillion dollars over and above an annual government budget. Moreover, given the nature of the emergency little effort went into waste, fraud, abuse. Now more money is on the way following the recently passed Infrastructure Bill ($1.2_T). It's not just roads, Bridges, and ports. It's also broadband, Municipal Water Systems, and more. Unlike targeted bills of years pass, the U.S. has entered the age of massive spending. Comprehensive bills that make hiding money all the more easy. In other words, "pork" never left Washington after the defeat of "earmarks". They just poured on the gravy to obscure it from view.

So now a combination of factors have brought out the "ghost of Christmas Past" .... INFLATION! Clearly this doesn't seem to be the right time to pass a $1.9_T Build Back Better plan. After all, "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions". Whatever policy intends to help "the greater good" will be wiped out by bad timing, hidden money, and overreaching goals. Ultimately the social safety net will be just the opposite. It will be the road to ruin when the Federal Reserve is forced to raise interest rates to combat inflation. A similar situation followed Lyndon Johnson's Great Society.

So just like the 1970s, demand for cars and housing will plummet. Jobs will be lost and the Fed will be caught between "a rock and a hard place". Resulting in STAGFLATION. The scenario by itself doesn't pretend apocalypse, but rising interest rates will bring the national debt into wider consideration. As well as the national debt of other nations. Across the globe government budgets will be slashed and the global recession will follow .... DEPRESSION???

Now factor in Covid, mass migration, and rising tensions with Russia, China and others. Not to mention, climactic disaster not seen throughout written history. Just a few days ago, a December 28th 00 outbreak to rival the worst spring has to offer. We now have the perfect recipe for the APOCALYPSE: PESTILENCE, ECONOMIC DISASTER, CHAOS .... WAR.

The dominoes are falling. Right now this is a slow mover. So the click is only being raised 1min.

PS. The secondary concern of Biblical prophecy needn't be considered in the absence earthquakes and volcanoes .... everything we are facing is certainly man-made at this point.
